Life can be hard and messy. I have struggled as a single parent, been overwhelmed as a mom of a strong-willed child and felt helpless as a victim of multiple heart attacks.
But that it NOT my whole story.
Maybe YOU are in a hard season of life trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. Or maybe you are exhausted, constantly on the go raising little ones. Are you facing an empty nest? Perhaps you are dealing with some really tough issues like an unplanned pregnancy, a toxic relationship, or a troubled teenager.
But that is NOT your whole story!
At The Reluctant Cowgirl it’s about allowing
your whole story to shine through your life.
We don’t need to try to hide our mistakes or heartbreaks, but we don’t need to constantly live in them either. Life is precious, and there are many opportunities and adventures to explore! So we don’t want to just SURVIVE. How can we learn from our struggles and failures and become stronger? We want to GROW and THRIVE. We want to figure out what we are capable of accomplishing and ways that only we can bless our families and others.
Let’s challenge ourselves to function at our best by taking care of our emotional health! And if you would like a community to encourage you as you grow then you are in the right place.
Ready to do More Than Survive? Get Started Toward Your Vibrant Life!
Hi, I’m Miranda. Thank you for visiting The Reluctant Cowgirl.
In 2002, I began working as a court advocate at a local non-profit agency serving families struggling with domestic violence and sexual assault. It was there that I discovered I loved leading groups. For the last 15 years I have facilitated a variety of groups giving people the tools they need to create healthy relationships and better communication. With this blog, it is my genuine desire to give you information that will help you create an emotionally healthy life.
I am passionate about seeing people grow!
I am a city girl married to a country boy. He is an extrovert with big dreams and visions while I am an introvert who likes a basic plan to follow. He loves his tractors and cows and I am his reluctant cowgirl! And for some reason God thought it would be great fun to put us together! On the blog I will share some of my journey as I balance being married to a country boy and taking care of my family while pursuing my dreams on the side!
My faith in God is central to my life. I am truly thankful for how God is a gentle teacher and that He can bring good out of even the hardest times in your life.
I truly feel blessed to be a mom. Being a parent is the hardest, most satisfying job that is out there. We have entered the strange new stage of semi-empty nesters! We have 3 children. One has moved out, our second oldest just started college last fall and one sweet daughter is still at home.
I love to read and I mean I LOVE to read so I usually have a couple books going at a time. I love to watch old movies, especially around Christmas as they remind me of family who have passed on. I love to travel, so anything with Eiffel towers on it is great to me.
I love parades! And when everyone stands up at a ballgame to sing the National Anthem.
Oh and I can bake, did I mention that? I have a serious sweet tooth.
So that is a little about me!
