There was this brief moment where I felt like I was floating…and then it hit me. A strong crushing feeling overcame me, and I suddenly felt like I couldn’t breathe. My chest hurt, as if I was having a contraction in the center of my chest. I helplessly sank off the couch, in pain and confusion as to what was happening. I was 35. The last thing on my mind was that I was having a heart attack. That day began a 7 year medical journey that started with surviving a heart attack.
